On April 7th, 2025, the Faculty of Chemistry at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków hosted the 5th meeting of the BioHEAT project consortium, funded under the 14th ERA-NET Bioenergy Joint Call. The event brought together partners from Poland and Austria, collaborating on innovative thermochemical technologies that aim to transform agricultural and forestry residues into sustainable heat sources for industrial use.
We are proud to announce that we have won 1st place for innovative technology — the Vampire reactor — at the International EXPO KATOWICE Fair! Our hybrid underground installation for exoergic methane utilization from mine ventilation air and climate control in mining excavations has been recognized for its groundbreaking nature and environmental significance.
On April 29, another working meeting of the ERA-NET Bioenergy project took place at the Faculty of Chemistry of Jagiellonian University. The meeting was devoted to the BioHEAT project “Development of a process chain based on opportunity fuels for heat production in industrial processes,” being carried out by Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the Danex sp.z.o.o company and partners from Austria and Germany.
